According to the CDC plague is an infectious disease that affects animals and humans. It is caused by the bacterium Yersinia pestis. This bacterium is found in rodents and their fleas and occurs in many areas of the world, including the United States.

Bubonic plague is the most common form of plague. This occurs when an infected flea bites a person or when materials contaminated with Y. pestis enter through a break in a person’s skin. Bubonic plague is not spread from person to person.

One main reason we don't want to let fleas get out of control, and also why we try to keep rodent populations down as well. Doing pest control management is a lot more than just killing bugs we are protecting the safety and welfare of our customers. By you doing this yourself you are providing the same necessary service.

First thing we want to do is get the necessary products for the treatment. We want to treat the interior of the house, paying special attention to areas where your pets spend most of their time lounging around or sleeping, all carpeted areas and trim boards in rooms with tile. A residual with an IGR ( Insect Growth Regulator) is used here. In rooms with hardwood flooring you can only fog with a non-residual such as CB-80. After you treat the interior of your home you will need to leave for 2-3 hours so the residual can penetrate the carpeted fibers and so you won't get any on you or breathe the fumes. Now we can treat the pets with Petcor. The yard is the last step in this complete treatment. Maxxthor SC in the yard at the 1 oz. per gallon setting will get you flea free environment. After you treat the yard be prepared to stay off of it for 1-2 hours to allow it to dry.
