Identification
The kind of Ant you are trying to Kill is very important because that will tell you which kind of product you want to buy. The smaller "sugar ants" or as some people call them "piss ants" are generally Pharaoh ants or Odorous house ants or one of many house infesting ants that you will normally find in kitchens or bathrooms and sometimes in other rooms of your house if you have been spraying with regular insecticides. Using regular insecticides usually just break up colonies and make more ant families in your house.
Solution
I have found that small black ants and crazy ants as well as acrobat ants will go after sugar based baits such as Terro liquid stations. Pharaoh and Odorous house and pavement ants will typically respond to Maxforce baits or Advance Dual choice stations.
Ascend Ant bait scattered throughout the yard takes care of all these ants as well as Fire ants.

Place baits near trail of foraging ants or where ants have been seen
